Do not remove the hinges. Way to much hassle.
Enjoy your new jeep!

|groovebus||I just pull the 2 bottom screws out of the hinges, so it's easier to put on when it rains. Also you can get motorcycle mirrors and the shaft fits into the hinges after you take the doors off. Just make sure the threads poke out the bottom of the hing so you can tighten it down. I am getting new Harley mirror from the Harley shop. This weekend for just this purpose. (Just because Harleys are awesome)|

2012 Wrangler Sport - Doors/Mirrors Removal
I am basically a brand new jeep Owner - First full season starting now. I am looking to take the doors off this weekend, have read other posts regarding the removal. sounds like some take the pin out like a door hinge on a door in your house - looks like others have removed the actual hinge it self (6 bolts versus the 2 hinges).
Also - When I remove the doors, the mirrors will be removed as well, any way of re-attaching somewhere or is there a aftermarket mirror that can be mounted.
I know the manual has the door information, but I put more trust in people who have been doing this far longer than me. Thank you in advance!
