rics1997 You more then likely will need spacers with the 285's but probably won't with the 275's

unodog4 I always read that the 285's are the way to go, but I am worried about rubbing, thats why I was thinking about the 275's. (my tires now are the stock 255's)

mike1158 you talking about a difference of 3/8 inch in width and about 1/2" in Diameter.....
if no one told you, you couldn't see it

and as was said bothe are bigger then stock about 3/4" wider and a hair more then 1" bigger in diameter...Jeep will sit about 1/2" higher.

and as with most aftermarket tires..the TREAD makes the most difference...

SilverSport No, depending on your model, the stock size is a 255/75-17. So these will be a bit wider and maybe a hair taller.

To small or OK?

Was going to buy 285/75/17 Nitto's but ran across a st of 275/75/17 Nittos. New and cheap. will this look to small on my 08 stock jk w/stock rims?
