Seeuoffroad Not sure how the electronics would hold up. But no reason for a wet ass. Just keep some x-tra large heavy duty construction garbage bags in the glove box and throw them over the seats.

jkjeeper06 If you can avoid it, you should. If you don't have your carpets removed, you'd have to removed them after they are soaked and dry them somewhere to prevent mold. The majority of the damageable electronics are in the center of the dash located around the stereo. In rain storms, I never put my windows in as I have my carpets removed all the time. I do try to throw up the body of the soft top tho to keep the front seats dry as well as the electronics

RevCo666 I don't believe any electronics in a jeep are resistant enough to repeated water damage. You might get lucky a few times I guess but thats just rolling the dice

Stupid question but I'm new here.

I don't own a JKU but it is at the top of my next vehicle list and part of the reason is because you can drive around with the top off/down. My question is what happens if you leave the jeep sitting with the top down during a rain storm besides getting a wet ass when you get back in. Are the electronics designed for this scenario?
