Look at Novak's web site for a lot of technical background on conversions.
I am doing a SBC in a '92 right now and do not plan to add any cross members to the frame but I did repair the skid plate mounting areas to make sure it was secure. I bought Novak's adjustable rear mount but have not installed the engine or transmission (NV3550) into the frame yet.
I am using Novak's engine mounts, no cradle, but they discuss cradle mounts on their website.
I assume the '64 truck engine is carbureted so probably has a mechanical pump on the engine. I plan to use the in-tank electric pump and a pressure regulator to get down to carburetor compatible fuel pressure.
I am not sure what you mean about the power steering pump location. I believe the standard GM pump location may create some interference issues but the pump needs to be mounted to the engine to belt drive it.

Few 350 swap questions
Hey guys I'm getting ready here to start a 350 swap on my 2.5 YJ
I have a few questions for those guys who have done it before real quick
Now people are telling me I have to reinforce my frame with cross members All the Logs I've seen no one mentions it I'd like to hear what you guys have done.
Also I'm buying a 64' chevy truck off my buddy it has a 350 thats rebuilt with muncie 4 speed and 4wd transfer case.
Did anyone use the saddle mount?
How did anyone mount the tranny did you weld custom mounts off the frame?
One last thing I have how did you run your gas pump, from what im told the block has an internal pump?
Wait one more Where would you mount the power steering pump to the frame?
