Rear Bench Seat

Love my 2 door JK. But really hate that the rear bench is still the same heavy, uncomfortable, unwieldy, impractical piece of crap (sorry) that I had on my 1998 TJ.
Has anyone found a replacement option that is two seats? In looking at most after-market/sport seats they're too tall. I've seen some marine seats- which I think is cool. But locking them from pivoting and safety is a concern. And I want to be able to completely remove the seats still.
I am currently looking at this:
All Things Jeep - Split Fold & Tumble Rear Seat for 76-06 Jeep CJ-5, CJ-7-CJ-8 Scrambler & Wrangler YJ, TJ, LJ (Drilling required for TJ/LJ)
But pretty sure I'd have to remove the gas tank to drill for the bolts/frame and do some rigging. I THINK they'll fit- they're smaller than a JK bench from what I gather. Complete removal isn't possible with these.
Did I mention I don't want to spend a fortune? But I also don't want to spend the next 4+ years of Jeep ownership with that stupid bench. (I won't bore you but there are reasons I don't want it out permanently).
Anyone replace the rear bench?
