One of those non-Jeeps had a flat. Sean pumped them up enough they could let us by. Must have been a good inflate. The one with the flat passed me later.

I guess that "deer" is a lady elk?

LVRaptor Great trip and People always = GREAT TIME!!!!!!! glad we made it.

RepairMan I might suggest today's intended route as a desert wranglers trip for June or July. One of us could lead it, with another prerun to make it run smoother.

I had fun today and since it was mostly at higher elevation it could be run even in the middle of summer. Especially since we would air down and up at the higher elevations.

raythom3 Yep, Interesting route and good people made it a great day. A little longer than I was expecting but overall a decent trip.

NO Rocky Gap OK With Me

Shouldn't have mentioned a someday trip on a thread for this weekend.

Lovell Canyon starts paved east of Mtn Springs and there's a back way towards Pahrump.
Wheeler is the "short" way from Pahrump to the prison near 95.
They should be straightforward on MapQuest.

I'll be at Dunkin' @ 9 and follow wherever.

LV.Wrangler.13 I would join you guys, but I'm doing a geo-caching run with the Desert Wranglers tomorrow morning. I'll have to catch you on the next one. Have fun!

RepairMan Sure, want to edit your first post with 0900 at the dunkin donuts? Lovell, trout and wheelers.

raythom3 Didn't catch the without part. Sitting here having a few Patron Margaritas with the wife. I am fine with that. Still meet at 9:00am.
05-24-2013 10:30 PM
RepairMan I'm not interested in rocky gap, that's why I said I'd be good not doing it.
05-24-2013 10:27 PM
raythom3 Rocky Gap will Work. Meet at Dunkin Donuts on Charleston just west of the 215 at 9:00am, leave by 9:30. Might still try Lovell Canyon after Rocky Gap. Just have to see what kind of time we have.
05-24-2013 10:08 PM
gregaf3 I will be at a buddies cabin in cold creek and playing around wheelers pass most of saturday
05-24-2013 10:02 PM
RepairMan I'm good without doing rocky gap.
05-24-2013 09:39 PM
raythom3 Wasn't planning on Rocky Gap, just wanting to explore from the Lovell Canyon side over to Trout Canyon down into Pahrump. Still open to another route if anyone else has any other thoughts.

Does this involve rocky gap road? Or is it a trail ride? I don't know if I've seen info on those canyons.

Saturday would be better for me since the Indianapolis 500 is Sunday.

Monday'd be OK too, if Ray's not working his crews Memorial Day.

Xodius Maintenance on my rig. I have a list of things to do on it. I may pull it in garage and start to ought and finish tomorrow. We will see how the wife takes keeping hers outside...plus I have to figure how to snug mine in so I can close the door. Lol. I miss my old garage.

I'm In

Lovell to Wheeler or anything else sounds good to me as long as it's after 8 after the Monaco Grand Prix (race on Sunday, qualifying Saturday).
Heck, when I'm not so time challenged I think we could pull off Rocky Gap to Wheeler Pass some day.

Somebody name a meetup time and place...

LVRaptor I am so wanting to get out but just have no time.

jokerchief462 raythom3 looks real good lifted love the picture. Great work.
05-23-2013 09:29 PM
jokerchief462 I would love too go but I am down for some repairs. Trapping 4 gals in the tank so time to cut a hole and pull the pump. Speedo gear is stripped in the T-Case got to crack the case half flush all the little plastic turds and put in the new parts. Brakes pulling hard left front right must not be working right. So I have 5 days off to get everything done. If I get lucky and get done early I will jump in anywhere.
