|rogueleader||Summers are hot. From June through the middle of September, temperatures constantly over 100 degrees, with several days around 115. Laughlin is even worse, with temperatures as high as 120. The rest of the year is pretty mild. December and January temps will go as low as 30 during the day, but not often. Snows in town about every three or four years. Soft top is great here, but you'll need a jacket from about September to May in the mornings, but you may not need it after about 10:00 a.m. I have a Sunrider top and have it in place for the summer so I can use the air, but on cooler days, I like to at least open it up.|

if you are staying in LV all the time, soft top is perfect. but you go up to great basin in winter is gonna be a little cold..
I was in LV in winter, it can get to 65-70 during the day, but as low as 30 at night.. parking topless downtown is not a good at idea, it's vegas.. but in the suburbs or off street is probably fine..

Soft VS Hard Top Living in Nevada
I am to be a new Jeep owner within the next 3 to 4 months, this will be my first Jeep Wrangler. Right now I am researching as much as possible and have been in talks with a nice salesperson at my local Jeep dealership. Per her suggestion I have joined this forum to ask advice of current owners. Currently I live in Virginia, but I will be moving to Las Vegas Nevada by next year. For those living in a desert climate..... Would it be better to get a soft or hard top for my jeep? I am trying to consider, security, safety, cooling (AC), easy of going topless, fun, etc. Though I plan to have the top off a great deal of the time, I still need to pick a top.
