I'm already running 35s on my Dana 35 so that's why I'm getting one lol

tallzdatank if you can get it cheap and plan to upgrade to rear locker, or larger tires I would get it. put the locker in while you've got it off, and regard it too. a little cutting, grinding, fitting and welding and you've got a solid rear axle.
if you don't want to upgrade tire size or drop a rear locker in you probably don't need the heavy duty axle.

NC Bear I am completely happy with my 8.8 conversion. If I had it to do over again I'd still go for the 8.8 over the D44.

Getting 8.8 axle for cheap.

I'm getting an 8.8 off of a friend for $100. It's coming out of like a 98 explorer. I don't really want an 8.8 but for the price I figured I could fix it up really nice and it would be good. I just thought it would be alot better to have a d44 since most of them are meant for jeeps. Just want some advice on what I should do.
