petercass88 What would I need to remove to get to the hose adapters? They kinda vanish behind the belts. I am not the best with engines so I would like to avoid that as much as possible lol

Heater hose

The quick fix is to loop the hose. But it could be a potential leak. the right way would remove the two hose adapters where the screw into the water pump and block and install two pipe plugs which can be bought at most any hardware. then you have a clean professional looking fix.

Scott-CJ8 I did that exact same thing on my PU truck when my heater core went out. Works with no problem. You just won't have any defrost or heat.

petercass88 Haha sorry, i can be sneaky Thanks for the input! The jeep is located in florida, there are very few months that a heater core would be needed and obviously my airlocker compressor is where the AC compressor would be so with no AC and no need for heat... why have the air box?? Not to mention it is being bedlined inside and out with waterproof seats and marine speakers so it wont have a top or doors 90% of the time it will be a nice mix of off road and beach cruiser when all is said and done!

AllMudd Under your hood remotely looks similar to under my hood! what gives I wasn't aware anyone was taking pics of my Jeep. Well yes those two lines are the ones that you need to connect some way. These coolant lines are for the heater core you are removing. So I'm hoping this is going to be a summer only Jeep.

petercass88 woo! that is awesome! I was hoping it was a simple solution like that... what if i remove one of the two hoses since they are the same diameter and hook the one hose up to both inlets?

Here is my poor paint image of the X'd out hose i want to remove, and green arrow of the hose i want to keep connected to where the X'd out hose is attached. Is this correct?

Redrider94 Yes you can just hook both lines together, matter of fact that is what must be done to keep the engine cool.

Remove Cabin Air box - Piping question

I am removing the cabin air system on my YJ (Actually... its already removed...) and I wanted to know about the two coolant lines that run into it. Are those lines used for something other than running coolant through the system for heat? Can i take one of the hoses off and just loop the second hose to both of the output lines to close the loop that i have now opened?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I cant find any info on this...
