42RLE Transmission Question

I have got some serious problems going on with my 42RLE and it has been determined that a rebuild is necessary. We all know how expensive this can be. Today, as an alternative, I was looking for quotes on a new one and I stumbled upon an eBay listing for one. Only $650 without the torque converter, $850 with. What a price! And the guy has a few of them. However, it is set up for the 2WD cars that use the same transmission (Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger).

Is it possible to change it over to my housing? What would be the issues? How difficult?

We're pretty handy and willing to work to save this much $$$.

Thanks in advance,

Justin
