jeeps4u2nv88 True, I think I'll try spraying some silicone on them and take it for a test drive.

Bigman610 I just replaced mine yesterday because of the noise it was making. I didnt try lubing it prior to replacing, took a leap of faith that paid off. If you were to try a lube, I dont think I would use grease, I'd try spraying some silicone lube on it to see if it eliminated the noise. Depending on your lift, you could get at it pretty easy from the front side of the skid plate.

Transmission Mount squeak?

So lately my jeep has developed a squeak. Everyday it gets louder and louder and I have been turning the radio up more and more to hide it but there is a limit to how high I want to turn the radio up before I risk blowing my eardrums out. I think the squeak is coming from my transmission. Reason I say that is because it only squeaks when you hit a bump or hole and the drive train is shaken back and forth. I can kinda cause it by rocking the transmission side to side with the gear shifter, but there is only so much I want to move it with that. Is there any way I can get under the jeep and check the trans mounts? maybe put some grease on them? I don't want to tighten them unless they really need it.
