Your jeep looks nice in mock up!
your better off going with 16" rims if you are going to off road it. if you have bigger rims that equals less rubber between rim and rocks which can cause bent or damaged rims when you air down for more traction.
I would not recommend a 4" lift, at that height you are getting into SERIOUS money for extra parts to maintain geometry of the drive line and suspension. beside of looks, the reason to lift a vehicle is for tire clearance of the body. your ground clearance comes from your tires. so you can easily clear 35" tires with a 3.5" lift and not have all the extra wear and tear and cost associated with it just to clear 35" tires. If you are going to add flat fenders then you could even go to a 2.5" lift and maintain a lower center of gravity. if you are looking for a great lift system and also flat fenders check out Metal Cloak Jeep Bumpers, Jeep Tube Fenders, Jeep Suspensions, Jeep Rockers, Jeep Corner Guards and Jeep Accessories for CJ/YJ/TJ/LJ/JK
if you check out either of my 2 build links below you see some great examples of 3.5" lifts, articulation, 35" tires on 16" rims Flat fenders etc

|MoonyJohn||Tire price is way more expensive and the choice of an offroad tire with an 18" rim is scarce compared to a 17. Just something to think about.|

|Shantar42||Any reason for th 16? I will be a new jeep owner and am just learning all I can. I saw 20 rims on 35 but it looked like way too much rim . the 17's seem to make the tire look too big so I though 18 would be fine. I don't want to go for looks over function/safety so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!|

|RubiconRich||if you plan to 4 wheel it you don't want 18" rims. Stick with a 16" rim|

Future look of new 2014 rubi on order
HI! I placed an order for a 2014 rubicon unlimited. I Plan on adding a 4" lift with 35 tires, 18 rims, new bumpers, flares and hard top and paint it pink. Something like this. (I pasted parts on it, so it's close) Thinking about changing the hood to the AEV vented hood before painting. Might add snorkle, and light bar later.
