Sounds like a diesel...

So- Everyone has heard of the "sounds like a diesel" diagnostic.. well, mine sounded like a diesel, so with all theories out there from "thats just the way the jeep sounds" to timing chains to engine failures- I decided to take my jeep in for a checkup with a very reputable auto mechanic. Sure enough- I was not lucky enough to have a timing chain loose - Full engine rebuild $3500.00-4500.00. Only 105K on the engine. Now... i have to figure out what the heck to do with it.. sorry - I just needed to vent.
