|Tom1||Thanks Tom h, wow great info. I am new to wheeling but I lived in San Diego for over 25+ years. I live in Del Cero and Lake Murray area so not to far from off roading and dessert. I did the Broncos Peak not long ago. I will send you a email but I have. 3.5" lift on my Rubi LJ and would like to take it wherever it can go.|

yeah buddy, lots of us sandy eggo jeepers.
im not a trail blazer, i do imperial sand dunes about 2.5 hours east. or about an hour in a half east you can do Plaster City soft sand cruising, packed dirt at superstition, or soft sand and dunes at gordons.
when you want to do big dunes, head further out to glamis and camp out

As for easy trails, if you're still a newbie, here are some fun runs for you and your wife or ladyfriend:
The 4x4 books at the local 4x4 stores are fine but I outgrew them after the first year, because most of the trails in it are bunny trails. Check out my blog for some more challenging trails (in the signature block). Most of theses are not in the standard books. I try to be pretty thorough.
If you're looking for bigger challenges, send me a reply (private or otherwise) and I'll try and steer you. You'll need to tell me what part of the county you're in.

|Tom1||Hi Guys, kind of new to Jeeping but so far I love it I heard a lot about Tierra Del Sol and others, I am kind of hesitant to join. Mainly because with some clubs you have to if not mistaking go to maybe 2 or 3 big ride to keep membership. Hopefully, at a later time I will join one)|

|Jerry Bransford||I'm from San Diego (Escondido) and actually, most of the trails mentioned here are the ones I often frequent. For closer trails like Bronco Peak down off I-8, there are some very active SD based clubs like San Diego 4Wheelers that frequent them. I'm in a north county club (Geared 4Fun) that does trails all over if you're interested but if you live in SD, you'd probably want one that meets closer to you like SD 4Wheelers or Tierra Del Sol.|

|Tom1||Hi Tom h, I would like to ask the locals about jeeping and trails. It seems like most to the discussions are about trails not any where here.|
