1BLKJP Good to hear. The JK is a pretty capable beast. It will only get better as the aftermarket catches up with the ESP programming. LOL

First time out with the JK

My wife and I took the JK to Green Ridge State Forrest to take it off road for the first time. It's a month old today. It's a stock X 6-speed with 17" wheels and the 3.73 gears and rear locker. It wasn't quite as mild a trail as I expected. It's 18 miles long with a lot of water and mud. There's a few rocks but nothing that made me think I might hit something. Some of the hills were very steep and a couple were tough because you went into a mud pit, then a sharp turn and a steep upgrade. I owned a 1980 CJ and I was very impressed with my JK today. Even with the stock tires, I had no issues. Only one time did I start to bog down slightly, but I gave her some gas and she jumped out of the mud and grabbed onto the hill. I did stall out once early on. A branch swiped my wife and she let out a yelp and it distracted me and I stalled.
