TJZ Cool ! Thanks a bunch. The guy who initially serviced my Jeep when bought it, jumped in and spotted a code for my TPS so the Key thing must work. Thanks again all !

Hardermods The key on off thing works unless you drive a 98-00 I believe.

An its not just a Jeep thing cause many Chryslers will do it, I use it at work on the Chargers in the field.

Also have had my sister do it in here caravan 3 states away so I could give her advice.

I use a code reader. However, I read on another post on this forum that you can turn your key on/off three times and the codes will appear on your electronic odometer display. I have not tried this. Kind of sounded like a prank you would play on a new Jeep owner, like the muffler bearings going bad.

Smitty03 Code reader you can get at any auto parts store or even Walmart. I got mine at Harbor freight.

biggus35 I think that is the code I had a couple of weeks ago right after I bought my TJ. I researched it at that time and found it to be caused by a poorly sealing gas cap. I filled my tank and screwed the cap on tightly and the check engine light went away (after I disconnected the negative side of the battery for 20 minutes to allow the system to reset).

Not sure if it's that simple on yours. Give it a try.

Engine Code P0441

I keep getting this code and it states:

P0441
Evaporative Emission
Control System-Incorrect
Flow Detected

Got any ideas what to check or replace? Thanks.
