traitor08 I also put splined lugs on mine with original breaker. This is a great and cheapest way to go.

Sweet thanks. I'm going to pick up one of these thin wall ones

derf I bought splined lug nuts with the adapter when I bought my wheels and tires. No regular socket fits on the lug nuts. But the adapter sticks out far enough and is the right size for the factory lug wrench to fit on the end.

kappaknight +1 on breaker bar. May not even need an extension unless you want to torque it - in which case the Snap-On torque wrench is pretty good.

Lusus_Naturae I had to buy a new wrench with my TJ's wheels, I picked up a Gorilla kit at Discount Tire for about $20-$25. It has come in so handy between tire changes and using it as a breaker bar for big projects I really am happy I got it.

Hawaii 5-0 When I put on my Mickey Thompson wheels I had to buy a 19mm thin wall socket and a breaker bar. Apparently many aftermarket wheels have lug holes that are narrower than stock Jeep wheels.

onetraveller ^^^^^^

A breaker bar, six inch extension and the proper socket is the way to go. Through in any additional, sockets needed for trailer spares and you are good to go.

The General Factory lugs are 19 and your new lugs are likely 21. I just put a long 21 socket and breaker bar into my jeep.

Is there a tire iron that fits in the factory space that has a lower profile?

I just realized that after replacing my wheels with Tracker 8s and black lugs, the factory tire iron doesn't fit around the lugs anymore. Does anyone know where I can buy a new tire iron with a slimmer profile that would be able to change my new wheels and that will fit in the factory sleeve in the trunk?
