WatchThis! When a clutch goes out there is still resistances on the pedal. I am putting my money on a master or slave cylinder, and these are not a ware item. It is also very possible that it is a blown hydrologic line. Was there any leaks under the jeep.

Modern clutches shouldn't wear anywhere near that quickly, besides they are self adjusting. I ran the original clutch on my last Jeep for 152,000 miles - from the day I bought it to the day I traded it.

Up Hill Bill Clearly covered under you 3 year/ 36K mile, bumper to bumper warranty. ONLY exclusions are tires and "unwired headphones."

The clutch plates are covered for 1 year / 12K miles, but your problem is clearly in the clutch linkage, not the clutch plates. Clutch plates don't fail all of a sudden. nor does their failure cause anything like what you describe.

Call Chrysler customer service and ask them to start a case on this problem as you anticipate the dealer is trying to weasel out of repairing it under warranty.

Don't let the SOB's railroad you into paying for anything yourself!

2012 Transmission Problem..HELP

Hey guys. So I dropped my wife off at work this morning and when I went to leave the clutch wouldn't engaged....there's no resistance on the clutch pedal, almost like it's not connected to anything. And to top it off, the dealership has no idea whether it will be covered under warranty or not, and it only has 20,000 miles....

The last time we took it to the dealership they told us they had to top off fluids in the transmission, aren't those sealed???? And we just found out today that they replaced a part when it was there last that they didn't tell us about and isn't on any of the papers they gave us when we picked up the jeep.

Has anyone else had this problem or know what it is??????????
