The sandstone in Moab provides an extreme amount of traction. You will be amazed at the hills you can climb out there. Much, much steeper that you can on the dirt or loose rock that we are accustomed to in this part of the country. You can climb things and do things open in Moab that you couldn't get away with in other parts of the country.
I've never broken anything on my Jeep on the trail, but I'm pretty careful. (and lucky.) It'll happen one day I'm sure. In my Jeep I ocassionally catch the gas tank skid (Rokmen) or the corner of the rear bumper when traversing steps or ledges. I don't often hit the belly on things thanks to the tummy tuck.

#1 not everyone has lockers, so no you can do a ton of it without
#2 depends how you drive & on the spotter, a good spotter will keep you out of trouble & lift & bigger tires are a great help
Hey! that guy, the Green Cherokee, he reminds me of someone

holy crap my palms are sweaty from looking at those pictures. that is freaking awesome! god i have to get out of florida....
stupid question 1. do you need to be locked to do that stuff? or are you guys going up any of that open?
stupid question 2. do you guys tear up a lot of stuff... or are you guys really just tagging skid plates and bumpers coming off some of those shelves?
i have a new purpose in life... and it's to get out there...

Moab Rim was my first Moab trail in 2004. It was raining and cold at the JES, that trail was scary and damn fun.
Haven't run it since only because I'm always wanting to do new trails, hard or easy.
