JohnnyWest Worked with the kid on his JKU. Just about done with the lift. Tightened everything up. Bleed the brakes. Installed exhaust spacers and reattached the drive shaft. Got it out on the road for the first time with the lift.

Not a roof rack. The photo kind of makes the top of the gas pump look like one.

Nice job. May I ask where you purchased the LED's?

tjdphoto Installed my birthday present, the Thule Apex Swing bike rack. It's hitch mounted and one of the few racks that allows access to the back of the Jeep that doesn't mount to the tire carrier.

We had to modify the handle on the bolt that secures the swing arm. There wasn't enough room for it to turn and tighten because it would hit the spare tire. We chopped the ends off and sanded it smooth, works great now. The only other minor issue is the post that it screws into is tall enough to rub against the tire. Not enough to stop it though. I have stock Sahara tires and wheels so anything larger you might have problems. The photos I attached show our mods to the handle and how much space is down there between the tire.

Other than all that I'm eager to take it to the trailhead tomorrow with my mountain bike and hopefully hit up some trails in Sedona in the next month or so.

Ohhh thanks for this!! I always thought a lift or modifications to his suspension void it. I wish I would've known that 10 years ago on my old truck too. 😀

awesome idea! I always worry that someone will reach and steal it and break into the house. Now I just need to try to find a RadioShack!! Like looking for K Mart these days Lol

Colincdanna I installed a Teraflex monster track bar and 9/16" bolt upgrade. I am actually surprised at how much more solid the jeep feels especially on rough roads. No shake or shimmy at all. Well worth the time and money IMO.

sillet13 Took off my taillight assemblies, masked them off and tinted them with VHT Nightshades. 3 coats is all it took. Super easy and looks great in my opinion.

Thanks fellas,

By far the best $2,000 investment! Just corvette clutches alone has saved me way more than this thing cost.

Winch #1 done! Mine goes next week (this one was hers)

Check out the attached screenshot. I followed a video of the mod off of Youtube. There are step by step instructions somewhere on this forum too. Should be able to google turn signal mod and find more info. Hope it works out for you.

Congratulations to you sir, great parenting!

I'll be doing this with my kids when they get older

f.i.d.o.con Extended my breather hoses. Can anyone confirm that the transmission breather is the dip stick on a 15 automatic? No problem finding the axles and transfer case but no luck on the trans. Then read a post someone said it was the dip stick tube. Confirm?? Thanks!

Big thank you to Ric, username Quadratec on the forum, for the discount and free upgraded shipping. Discount was good but everyone loves instant gratification even if they aren't willing to pay for it. I ordered early enough they shipped the same day and had them the next day!
Pics or it didn't happen.
