. Awesome! Thanks - looking forward to getting the Jeep built up. I have been on this forum for 6 months doing research and found tons of info and advice here. It's been real helpful in my decision process from deciding what Jeep I wanted to build to the Mods I'm planning now. I'm sure we will cross paths in town.

BCT Hey everyone - I'm back in the game after being Jeep-less for just over a year. I sold my 19 year old YJ in January of 2013. Just took delivery of a new 2014 JKURX in Granite. What a upgrade from the old YJ! Did some basic mods so far... Installing AEV 2.5 Lift and a few other mods in the upcoming weeks. I'm in Lorain-Amherst area otherwise known as LA. Looking forward to talkin Jeeps if anyone's interested.

Shit thats a good deal, but the $2k was a parts and labor estimate

MT2014 Ok - thanks for the reply. I'll research some more gear info. I think I'm going to go with 4.56 for 35's. I have 3.21 or 3.20 right now and it's terrible.

I'll check out a few mechanics and let you guys know some of the quotes.

Regearing is something an experienced mechanic should do, ive looked into it and done my research, it is not easy and you need some very specific tools, Henderson Driveline in westlake does some of the best work, they gave me a rough estimate of about 2k to do it, parts and labor, stay away from using anything G2, its all crap and have seen how bad their products are

I'd be interested in meeting up occasionally.

That's what I was planning as well. Just some extra peace of mind. I believe the t-case is close to center of the firewall and the tranny may be close as well. Guess we'll find out!

Ya it looks like the rear axle can be run into the rear tail light housing easily. Is the transfer case already pretty high up in the engine bay? I'll definitely look forward to the t-case and tranny write up
