Custom speaker install.
Picked up a set of Kicker KS60 series at Best Buy for $5.00 they had them on clearance. They are 6' over the stock 6.5' but for 5 bucks I am bored enough to make them work.
Install was pretty easy and gave me something to do on my day off.
I am against cutting into the stock wiring for any reason, seeing how I was tossing out the OEM speakers I cut the connection off of them and soldered the connection onto the Kicker speakers so they were plug and play.
Then I made some brackets to adapt them to the sounds bar out of some scrap metal.
I did not get a sanded and painted picture but cleaned up the ruff edges, sanded primed and painted. works great.
I'm going to put in some marine grade 6.5" sometime but for 5 bucks figured it would hold me over until I get them.
