Enhancing capabilities, while maintaining some DD practicality

I'm currently awaiting my first ever Jeep (2014 Sport) and am looking for some suggestions on mods to increase all-terrain/off road performance.

The major obstacle for me is that this Jeep is also going to have to fill the role of a daily driver, so I don't want to go all out with lifting and tires.

A LSD on the rear axle is already on the short list since I didn't add one from the factory, but I didn't know if another LSD (or a locker?) on the front axle would be a good idea as well.

Suggestions for any armor or skid plates (if any are felt to be needed) would be appreciated as well.

If the question has been brought up before, I'd be happy to scan those threads.....just haven't had any luck finding them
