dooder i dont care for body lifts but a 1" lift shouldnt be a big deal if its the actual mounts that are designed to lift and not those spacers that sit on the mounts. look on quadratec JKS Manufacturing 9903 - JKS Manufacturing B1 1.25" Body Lift for 87-95 Jeep® Wrangler YJ - Quadratec

Body lift question

While I understand this forum isn't a big fan of body lifts, I have a quick question.

The stock body mounts on my 87 yj(4.2L with auto) are all trashed and I figured while I was here I would add a ONE inch lift kit. unless you're running 33's and a gap eliminator kit, anything higher looks silly. I have a friend who's nieghbor also has a 1987 with a 3 inch body lift and it just looks dumb.

anyway, my question:

Will adding a 1 inch body lift screw up my steering and shifter? most decent kits will ask if I'm running an auto trans or not. Whats the difference??
thanks again
