04TJRBCN Try using the steering components off of a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee equipped with a V8. Is a direct bolt on and much beefier than stock.

04TJRBCN Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for. the way I see it I can buy a full set up for much less than the aftermarket and the parts are easier to get my hands on and probably 40% stronger than stock.

snwchris There's a ZJ Tie Rod conversion you can do, eother by buying the parts thru the junkyard, but difficult finding ones there. Otherwise you can buy them outright from most autostores.

Yep Grand Cherokee with a V8 since the Tie Rod is thicker.

TJ Steering Components

I have been hearing that we can upgrade our TJ steering components by using Grand Cherokee steering parts. I also have been told that it should come from a Grand that has a V8. Anybody have any links I can refer to for details?
