3TimeOwner take the grinder and cut up the smittybuilt, throw them in the garbage and buy something worth the money. Have already done it because of the fit issue

metaldemon My passenger side bolted right on. The driver side required some grinding. That's just the way it is.

LoveJiuJitsu Make sure you have a Dremel and some grinding stones in hand.

Strange. Maybe you got an old instruction set? I just went and looked at my wifes vs mine...the body/frame mounts are the same. Just remove the 2 side bolts on the most forward and most aft body/frame mounts. Obviously keep the center one in place (the one with the huge washer thing).

Metonymy I believe they mount in the holes where the factory Rubicon rails mount up. It's in the body before you get to the big frame bolts.

Smittybilt tube steps help!

Any advise on how to install these on a 2012 JKU? The instruction diagrams don't look like the frame holes on the 2012. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
