|xDasGooN||I have a similar leak but not in the middle the water pools on either side of the trunk up by the top of the wheel though. i found a little gap on both sides could it be because i don't have the right seal? my hardtop and softtop have the same problem any thoughts?|

The extra rubber strip was originally fitted to hold the glass in place, as I sorted 1 issue it caused another, but for the moment she's water tight.
I do intend on giving the hardtop a refit, with a paint job and new seals once I've sorted a few over problems.

Checked everything at the front drain pipes, air cowl, door seals, all were water tight.
Turned out it was coming in through the back were the rear window meets the tub.
Get someone to use a hose on the back of your jeep with you inside on the back seat and you will see it coming in, thats if it is coming in from the back. Dont forget to look under the carpets including the carpet above the rear wheel arch.

|Rmadd||Does anyone else have that strip?|

|RevCo666||Try adding some rubber strips along the tailgate edge at the top. That might help seal it up better...?|
|07-04-2013 11:05 PM|
|Rmadd||You can see where it's leaking, and it's right below a weird black strip on the tailgate.|

But I would agree 100% on the rubber stripping, that what the OP needs to look at abit more closely. Like I said, take a picture and we'll be able to confirm that's the issue or not.

|chevymad||Mine leaked there until I moved the spare to the bumper. The weight of the spare was pulling the gate out at the top. This was with the stock 31" goodyears.|

Hiya Revco666 are you still leaking ?
Rmadd & Jasonduke5,
I had a similar problem so I glued a rubber strip on top of the current rubber strip at the bottom of the rear window glass, so when I now close the rear tailgate the rubber is thicker so its a tighter fit.
Now fully water tight.

|jasonduke5||My hard top leaks as well. All depends on how I park to where it leaks. My biggest leak is the corners of the glass. Where the glass seals to tub|

My guess its normal. When I first got my jeep last summer, took it a car wash and it leaks behind there(tailgate meeting the glass.) So now I basically live with the problem. You might want to looking into replacing the rubber that meets in that section as a possible answer.

Tj hard top leaks
My hardtop leaks where the back glass meets the tailgate. Any suggestions on how to fix this would help because it's flooding in Florida right now.
