Changing battery cable on Warn 9.5cti winch

I needed to change the Positive battery cable on my Warn 9.5cti winch and couldn't locate instructions for accessing the solenoid compartment online so I thought I'd post what I found here.

The positive cable terminal is up under the Darth Vader helmet on the Warn cti. To access it the 4 large hex bolts toward the front of the top cover must be removed. There are two on each side. The motor side hides one under the motor cover which must be removed by removing four smaller hex bolts holding the motor shield.

After the two large hex bolts on each side are removed the front cover can be lifted from the front. If its still tight you may have to slightly loosen one of the other large hex bolts. Note that if you remove all for large hex bolts the winch will separate from the drum.

The positive battery lead connects at the top back of the solenoid shown in the picture below as the nut with the missing cable.

I hope this helps someone.
