|Dayna4678||I live in Branford and travel to Milford and Wallingford a lot for work. I get waved to a lot. Over 60% of the time. I'm noticing a lot of Cherokees owners been waving. What's up with that??|

SWMBO and I day-tripped RI last Saturday. I was got maybe 1 wave for every 3 Jeeps we saw, and there were a bunch. Meh, whatever. I waved.

|Ptrowski||I know every Wrangler on my commute now, still wave to the non wavers. I will say there are more wavers in CT than RI.|

|tazz888||I'm in Wallingford and get about a 50/50 mix of waves. Most of the non wavers seem to be older guys, soccer moms and younger girls. It does seem like its more of a JK thing though, almost all of the CJ,YJ and TJ's wave. I just keep waving and don't let the non wavers bother me much. My 6 y/o daughter even waves and points out the people who don't wave back. All she says about them is "They just don't get it daddy" LOL!|

|arah1||Since I got my JKURX last month, everyone I have waved too has return the wave except for just a couple of jeeps. It is awesome to be back in a jeep once again.|

|kuge21||I am now finding a significant increase in waves Probably 80% now. It probably does not hurt that the town is smaller so after 10 months of waving folks feel obligated to wave back :-)|

|kjeeper10||I pass the same 2-3 jeeps a day to/from work. Others also. One white 2 door never waves. Manchester 83 .. You know who you are|

|JoseRubicon||Today I passed about 6 jeeps after work around the Hartford and Manchester area and all of them waved. Combination of TJs and JK. 😃|

|WillyWheeler||Got snubbed 3 times in Fairfield county yesterday, glad that's only where I work and not live.|

Branford, Ct the worst
I work in Branford, live in East Haven, and have noticed most Branford Jk owners dont wave.
Also noticed most people wave around Cheshire, Southington, and there are a ton of Jeeps in those areas.

I'm hoping for some good snow tomorrow to drive through. As long as there's no ice like last week.
And got snubbed by another TJ today :/ our JKs are jeeps too!

|arah1||I will be waving once again when I finally get my ordered 2014 JKURX. This will make jeep number 4 that I have owned over the years.|

Took the kids sledding Saturday morning and on the way back took the long way through a Tobacco field trail that was not plowed. The kids loved it and the jeep had no issues going through 10+ inches of snow. To your point the end of the trail was a pile of snow the plow truck left so I just gave it more skinny pedal and went right through!!

So true. My neighbors stared in disbelief as I drove down, and then back up my 950 foot long sloped driveway, without so much as removing one flake of the snow we just got including the big pile at the end that the town trucks deposited. That portion was a nail biter but she made it. Of course I was carrying my 90 pound Lab in the back for added traction weight.

I did have an easier go in my driveway than the pick up that was plowing it though! Monday I had some fun in the back of a parking lot though ;-)
oh and as far as waving goes, I wave at every wrangler I see. I'd say 3/4 wave back. The majority of JKs do, it's the older TJ/YJ guys that usually snub me.

|Dncnbear1||Not any better on Long Island!! Maybe you can't see out of the windows in a Jk so they can't see us waving?? I don't see one with the windows open too often either even on the most butiful get this top n doors off kinda day!!! I wonder if removable doors n top is an option on a Jk?|
|02-07-2014 10:21 AM|
|WillyWheeler||Have had my JK for about 2 weeks now, and have gotten quite a few waves from other Jeeps 2 door and 4 door, but there have been a fair share of snubs as well. I guess it's just a matter of whether or not people are truly into the way of life or just think of it as transportation.|

Today is a great day for CT jeepers to be out if they have the guts and skills.

|3rdJeep||I'll always wave unless I'm spaced out. I bought my 72 CJ5 in 1981 off my brother. He told me about the wave. Been doing ever since I’ve owned a Jeep. I notice that the JKUs are the biggest slackers. No offence to JKU users who do wave! Regarding the hard top....All I had on my CJ5 was a ragtop. My YJ came with a hard top and I bought a ragtop for it within 6 months. Loved it in the summers until the kids were born. Now my oldest is off to college and I treated myself to a new JK....with a hard top. If we get an extended forecast of good weather, I'll try to get the top off of a day or so.|

|Buddha12||Not all CT drivers are snobs. I happen to know a lot of Jeepers and we all wave. As posted earlier in the thread it's the Jeep driving soccer moms and wannabes that are the ones who refuse to wave.|
|10-21-2013 09:31 AM|
Ct. Drivers are two stuck up to wave.....but keep waving,it seems to piss them off!
|10-20-2013 08:43 AM|
Most idiots are home already and you'll have to roads and parking lots to yourself 😃

|Sixman_up||I just transferred here from Guam a few months ago, and drove my TJ from California to CT. I do the wave and wave back but get double takes from the jeepers who notice the California plates.|
