fun4x4guy Yeah, I'd love to find one with flex sections but because it's the 01 with the cali exhaust, I see that being a challenge.

If I didn't need it as my dd right now, I'd take her off the road for a while and put more than just replacement headers and manifold into her.

Looks like it's the autoshop route I will have to go.

thgr8alex My exhaust manifold has been cracked for a while and just took it to a local muffler shop and he removed the whole manifold, welded the cracks inside and out, and the other spots hes seen cracked (apparently cracking jeeps manifolds is waaayyy more common than i thought) and reinstalled it all for a grand total of 215. He said hes been doing jeeps manifolds amd other cars for 14 years and has never had one come back to him. So thats an easier and possibly cheaper alternative. So far mines been great and ill tell you what, repairing that made a WORLD of difference in sound... Well worth it. Just another option

Cracked manifold

So I have discovered that the headers are cracked on my exhaust manifold.

In significant thread reading, I see that this is a common issue amongst owners and there are numerous people suggesting the e-bay headers. The problem is that most of those threads are several years old and the e-bay links are out of date.

I have a few quick questions.

1) Is there anyone out there who has used these and if so, how long did they last for?

2) If anyone has one, could you provide a link to the e-bay one?

3) Are there any recommendations as to alternatives? I would hate to spend a ton of cash on an item that's just going to have to be replaced a year or so down the road.

Also, if it helps, I'm in a 2001 Jeep TJ with a 4.0l and mostly stock everything.

Thanks.
