Brig Got it done. Left it out while I took the Cherokee to the dealership (frikken module went out, 1400 buck repair. This is why I'm anxious to get the Wrangler going, less costly!)

Anywho, it rained, so got the water christening. Held up well, looks good. Took a lot of work to get it down and get it cleaned up, well worth it

First, a before shot. Only one I have, should have taken some when I dropped it, but you get the idea...

And the after shots...

2five22 Chassis black or industrial epoxy paint. A friend did his Detonator Yellow Jeep skid plates in earthmover yellow epoxy paint and it came out well. It's the same stuff used on J.I. Case and Caterpillar earth moving equipment, so it is durable.

If its a fill primer then yeah but if its just a regular primer then just wait for it to flash then top coat. As far as " clear coat" goes it aint gonna make a bit of difference if you do or not. First rock will scratch it , and the clear wont make it more durable. I wouldnt bother

Why did you put two coats of primer on and not top coat it. Your just gonna have to sand it again before you put top coat on.

Available at Eastwood on line. They are large capacity cans so it took less than 1 can for 2 coats on the skid.

Painting/Bed Lining Skid Plate?

Dropped my skid plate today to better swap the exhaust...which will have to wait a few days so I can drill out some broken bolts. Noticed the skid plate and spacers are a bit rusted and could use a touch up. Question is, is there a certain type of paint I should use on them or will bed liner work?
