|Dpilo22||Are you firm at $5900 for a 4 cyl with 182k miles. It is pretty and if your description is accurate it's also capable but that seems a little steep for the vehicle. Where are you in NY? I'm on the Island.|

Will you take a 2004 Mitsubishi Galant + $1500 cash for trade? KBB on the Galant is about $3200+ a great commuter car! In great shape used as a highway daily commuter, no leaks, new tires. Let me know!
Don't need the frame welding done i can fix it myself.

1997 Wrangler SE
Up for sale is a flame red 1997 Jeep Wrangler SE with 182,000 miles. It has the 2.5L 4 cylinder engine with a 5-speed AX-5 transmission. The axles are stock D30 up front and D35 out back with 4.11 gearing. I purchased this Jeep in southern Pennsylvania about 2-3 years ago basically bone stock. Since I have owned this Jeep it sits on a paved driveway all winter and was only driven in the summer. I am selling this Jeep because it rarely now gets driven in the summer, it’s too nice to see it set there un-used. It just passed NYS inspection less than 2 weeks ago with no check engine lights or codes. I have had zero breakdowns since I’ve owned it.
Before I bought the Jeep the previous owner replaced the air conditioning compressor, but never purged and charged the system. So the air conditioning doesn’t currently work. He also put a brand new spice bestop on which is still in very good condition! A JVC deck was also installed along with amp, but the speakers are about shot. At the same time a sound bar was also installed in the Jeep. A custom made front bumper with stinger was also installed on the Jeep. A new clutch was also installed along with fuel pump. Some items over the years I’ve owned it have been replaced. These include the reverse light switch, cam sensor, front driveshaft boot, new calipers, recent brake job, (1) new front hub bearing assembly, alternator, battery and a new windshield. Very recently I installed a new tensioner pulley, idler pulley and serpentine belt.
Other additions I have installed on the Jeep include a Rough Country 4’’ short arm lift kit, Rugged Ridge SYE kit with custom rear double cardian driveshaft, rear upper adjustable control arms, Terraflex CB antenna bracket, mirror movers (allow your mirrors to stay on with doors off) and (5) stock ecco rims with (4) 35’’ Dunlop Mud Rover tires with tons of tread left. I also had a heavy duty tie rod and link setup installed and an alignment performed. When the adjustable control arms were installed I removed the transfer case spacer so the belly is up higher on this rig. Installed tow hooks fron and back.
This Jeep is in good condition for its age with some chips and scratches and little dings, it has been off-roaded a few times but NEVER beat on. This is a very capable rig as it sits.
The steering gearbox leaks fluid out of the pitman arm shaft, my plan was to replace the box with a Dodge Durango upgraded box but never did so yet. The parking brake also needs adjustment to fully engage but will work. It does have some surface rust starting in a few different places on the body and frame. The frame has 1 small rust spot that should be patched now before it gets out of hand in front of the rear tire. I will get this professionally repaired before purchased. The Jeep is almost due for an oil service so i will do so with full synthetic before purchased. I am also in the process of undercoating the frame.
The Jeep will also come with a complete like new cover.
The Jeep has a lien recorded on it, I will issue a written guarantee that you will receive a clean and clear title after payment is received that same business day.
Plan for now is to buy my dads car as a beater/gas save to get me through college, then maybe upgrade to a JK or some other type of Jeep
