BWrangler89 It all comes down to if you don't pay to get in, don't get caught or go with someone who knows several routes out. Cops are getting pretty serious about the "off limits" trails.

They're going to call the land owners and see if they want to prosecute and etc etc but yeah, hope you all got home safe, thanks for helping me get unstuck all those times everyone?de02

Yeah if you look back enough you can see my post about it when it originally happened...they called 4 cars in backup PLUS they made me wait for their sergeant to show up to prove their point.

Any suggestions for short fun drives considering the ran I would like to avoid getting stuck.

If not I will just old school dirt back road play.
Cops, I went there with a bunch of people from the forum a while back and they chased us all down, unlucky for me since I was in the front of the line, I was the only one who got pulled over. They tried to scare me with a criminal tresspassing charge, regardless of just getting a verbal warning, the cops in thay district are dicks so I avoid Rock Creek runs.

The trails themselves were a blast, had a ton of fun.

Rock Creek - unspoken trail or Cop danger?

Okay I am finally a Jeep owner, and for Christmas I would love to get it a little dirty.
I am trying to sort through all the posts, but I am lost as to whether Rock Creek area, (Rock Creek Ln and south of Lebanon) is an unspoken trail that the cops won't bug you or not.

Alvarado Bridgeport has 2 diamond to 5 diamond rated trails. A stock jeep will do way more then you think. Make sure you have a good spotter and someone that goes there often. Bridgeport is a state ran park you will need a OHV sticker.

Marble Falls and Gilmore are like bridge port and then some. You will need a OHV sticker for these parks as well.

Tolar out near Granbury is a private park. No OHV sticker needed. Go with someone that goes there a lot. The trails are not marked and you will get into the hard stuff if you make a wrong turn.

Patoriot park and Arbuckle are in OK not that far away. Both are good parks with Arbuckle being a little better.

Superlift in Hot Springs is good as well. You can earn the Jeep Badges of honor there.

These are the only legal wheeling places close to the DFW area. All the other are at your own risk. Some places are not as bad on cops as the others. Get caught in the wrong area at the wrong time and your rig will get towed along with a fine. Just a FYI

richcase Many people from North Texas Jeep Club are going to Bridgeport this Saturday. I'm meeting a couple folks at 7:30AM 12/13. Bring a toy, get in for $15.

There will be lots of first-timers coming out (myself included, this is my first time) and we're going to start the day off hitting the easy trails and slowly work towards the harder stuff so that everyone can figure out what they can do

Meeting here:
4788 N Josey Ln, Carrollton, TX 75010 7:30AM (Racetrak)

Also, West Side Caravan
7:00 AM Home depot 30/820
7:30 AM Home depot basswood and 35
