Murrow0607 I sewed quite a few parts of my soft top so it could get me through one final winter. I went to a local sewing store and told them my plan and they pointed me to the right thread. I recommend buying several needles bc they get dull or break fairly easy with such thick fabric

Wattapunk I never tried this but have read of Jeepers using iron on jean patches or canvas patches you would find in a craft store. Iron it on from the inside.. (Micheal's ?)

Sinister6 I used the rubber sealer in a can with a patch of the rubber backing used behind shower inserts. Spray it on, press the patch over it and apply pressure until dry. I used a board with weights. Worked great, stays flexible in all temps.

As well I learned in looking for my new top was to repair small holes or slits was an iron on patch just as if you wanted to patch a hole in your pants.

I just replaced my top actually and from all the different company's that are a mass seller, ie Quadritech, subjected as the best quality of products over all was Best Top. The cleaner and fabric conditioner were one of the highest rated products.

Soft Top Repair

I noticed a very small slit in my soft top when I put it on the other day. Came with the hardtop when I bought my TJ. Other than that the top is in excellent shape. Anyone have ideas as to whether I can repair it and how and with what?
Mucho gracias.
