No I personally don't have any experience with the Over The Knuckle kit for the Jk from Rusty's. I do have a lot of experience with the kit for the Xj & Tj....from JCR. I'm personally
not a fan of the other companies kit that so highly recommended & very popular on many of the jeeps here on this forum and unlike that kit the JCR KIT is completely OTK and uses ture one ton sized components. It doesn't step down at the Tie rod ends and requires modifications to the holes in your knuckles for the larger tie rod ends. These kits WILL move BOTH your drag link & your Tie rod up equal to the top of your axle tube making it a lot harder for rocks to come in contact with it. These kits will also help correct the geometry of your streering on your lifted jeep and won't require the use of $500 or $600 Reid knuckles.

I've been running one tons for years and have never bent a Tie Rod.

I was half thinking of going to BS and cruise around then head into OW. I'm assuming that's an organized run. When's the start and end?

There's a few going up to miller/Gorman. Sinisterphoto was the only other one half interested. I'm 40/60 on going to Big Bear now. I'm also talking to another keeper on doing cleghorn/pilot rock. So. Not sure at this time.

Like when I did the extra credit section on Saturday, I almost skipped it. Then as I was driving past it, backed up and decided to do it. I figured if I skipped it, it would bug me until next time I run the trail. Since it's going to snow soon, probably won't run it again until Spring. Then every time I thought about HR, it would bug me. So I did get stuck, but made it out with a bruised tie rod. Next time I'll cruise right through it. (well hopefully anyway)

Tie Rods -- I've seen a lot of TJ tie rods snap. Don't think I've seen a JK rod break. Do they tend to break much?

I wouldn't attempt the "gatekeeper" at Holcomb without some really good body armor. Even with that I still bent my transmission cross member and maybe a little more....but I got to use my own winch to pull myself off. ( I am not sitting here to enjoy the view).
(Always willing to embarrass myself for the education of others.)
