Jerry figured it out. The mounts on the axle are moved from the stock location to closer to the tire and then up. FML
1- buy new shocks that are shorter
2- move the mounts back to the stock location.
I am beyond pissed right now.

|Jerry Bransford||Nope, the TJ D44 uses the same length shocks as the TJ D35c does. I swapped from a D35c to a D44 and all of those types of dimensions were the same. Only the D44's pinion shaft protrudes out further, everything else exterior-wise is identical.|

Do dana 44's require a shorter shock then the dana 35? The rear shock on the truck right now only has about 2in of the cylinder showing. That is causing my terrible ride. IF I hit any kind of bump it toss my all over the place. So I am going to have to get shorter shocks but has anybody else had this issue?
