bajajohn I am 6ft and believe it or not have short legs. When I installed my new Best Top Seats I noticed my head Was uncomfortably close to the Sound Bar. But my y j has a adjustable tilt wheel and was able to get the seat and wheel adjusted to a comfortable spot and my feet reach the pedals. I hardly notice the additional height. the seats seam to have settled some too.

I ordered new XRC seats from SmittyBilt but did not realize (being a novice and never done this before) that they'd be thicker in the seat and I'd be sitting higher. I'm 6'1+ and now I look straight at the metal frame above the windshield. The seat will settle down an inch I am told but I am about 3-3.5 inches higher than where I was before I think. Is there an aftermarket place that makes and sells seat risers that are shorter than the factory risers? The ones I have measure to about 7 & 3/4 inches high - I'd need them about 5 I think. I would think if you took yours to a local 4x4 shop I bet they could make some for you or tell you where to get them made at. Although, someone has to have made these by now...

They make something called "big boy" brackets for the JK's. I wonder if those guys make anything for us taller YJ owners
