Factory Console Amp with a Aftermarket Sub?

Just hooked up my new Pioneer Head Unit with Infinity Roll Bar & Dash Speakers. The console sub is blown but the factory amp seems to be working fine. (Blue Wire to Blue/White Wire)
My questions is this.... I found a great little 6 1/2" kicker sub that will fit just fine in the center console, can it be wired direct to the factory amp which is also in the console?
As you all know, space is a minimun in my TJ and the 6 1/2" sub will do what I need for bass. I know I could purchase an aftermarket amp and bypass the center console harness all together, but if the factory amp will work, I am willing to give it a try.
From what I have read, the factory amp is (2 ohm) and my kicker 6 1/2" sub is (4 ohm).
