Lift kit questions?

Hey, I was thinking about throwin a 4 inch rough country lift kit on my Jeep but on the website, it says that the recommended tire size is 33 inches and i have pretty new 30's on my jeep, so I was wondering if I were to put on the 4 inch lift kit, would I need to buy new 33's or could I ride my 30's til I need new tires?
