lift kit questions?

hello everyone! Im new to the forum. owned a 80 CJ7 for 14 years and upgraded to a 93 YJ with 4.0 ,5 speed. Upon purchase this jeep has had different springs installed in the rear and lift shackles up front. the front sits slightly lower than the rear and the rear springs are terribly stiff. It has 245-75-16 goodyear MTR's on TJ rubicon wheels. There is also a vibration Im guesssing that comes from lack of transfer case lowering. I would like to remove the springs and lift shackles and install a complete lift kit. I'm unsure if I want the 2.5 or 4 inch kit. it seems like you get a little more lift than what the manufacturers claim by looking at the pictures on the lift kit forum. I don't really want to go to much bigger tires due to gear ratio issues causing poor performance. The rough country 2.5 kits do not come with transfer case lowering provisions, but the rubicon express kits do? seems like the rough country kits are a good value! anyone have any input, suggestions, or advice? thanks
