motokeen I have also read about the adjustments for throttle valve, and bands. I think I could look at the throttle valve. Don't know about the bands.

2000 2.5 with auto trans question.

I just picked up a 2000 wrangler with 111000 miles on it. It has a lot of minor issues and one kind of big issue. The trans slips at low speed take off. It doesn't thump into gear. The guy I got it from said he never changed the trans fluid. I am thinking of doing a trans service with lucas trans fluid and lucas trans fix to see if that will help. Does anyone know if lucas trans fluid will work ok since everyone says to use atf+4 in the auto trans? I hope to save the trans till next spring then I wouldn't feel bad about putting in a new one. I have seen many post about the lucas trans fix and figured I'd try it. Any suggestions or thoughts would be great. P.S. The lucas trans fluid says its compliant with any dodge atf rating.

Thanks agian.
