I'm ok with that part.. just don't like the window crank hitting me in the leg.. any suggestions other than power windows or taking the whole door off?

inzgary I think it has to do with the key having some chip in it that tells the car its ok to start.

2009 Wrangler X - Engine turning/ignition delay?

Just purchased an 09 Wrangler X (6 speed manual). Love it. I have noticed when I start the car and turn the key to the ignition position, there is about a half-second delay until the engine starts turning.

Not a huge deal, however, with past cars (non-Jeeps) I have always had immediate feedback (engine turning) upon hitting the ignition position with the key.

Anyone notice this or have any information?
