|morphious||well he said he replaced the pump and it could have come doa but chances are its something else if u want to be sure test the wire running to the pump and see if u have juice|

Um, if the fuel pump is not turning on, is it a bad fuel pump?
If you were driving for extended periods of time on 1/2 or 1/4 tank then you may have burnt out the fuel pump, as they use the gas in the tank to keep cool.

|NAVYCHIEF||you can put the VOLT meter between. the injector wiring and ground and each pulse,if there, should move the needle.i'm not sure what the voltage should be. start on the 20vdc range.|

|morphious||im not sure i wouldn't see why not, but i cant say for sure as i have never heard or tried it myself. but the testers are only a couple bucks ,and im really leaning toward the ignition switch as the culpret here. but it never hurts to make sure|

|tonka_tonka||am i able to get the same result with volt/ohm meter?|
|09-02-2009 08:04 PM|
|morphious||u can buy a tester at ur local parts store and just plug it into the injector wireing and it should flash when u turn it over|

how do i check injector pulse>???
sorry -- new jeep owner...loving it but not extremely knowledgeable.

swapped out relays and no voltage drop when iginition turned on.
all fuses in the box under driver dash checked and okay

|morphious||first u checked the fuse and relays already right? if not start their cheapest route if thats all good then see if u have injector pulse,if thats their then the computer is still ok and finally u will have to check the ignition switch. and see if that didn't fail and i think that covers all the possible probs other then a shorting wire for bad ground|

|NAVYCHIEF||look at the relays in front of the battery. one of them is the fuel pump relay. swap it with one of the others that is the same. there is also a fuel system fuse.green/30 amp.|

Fuel Problems -- 88 YJ
okay...I was on a trail after driving 86 miles without problems (actually getting awesome mileage and without power problems.) I got roughly 150 yds down trail and my jeep quit. After numerous attempts to start, I realized that there was no fuel pump sound at "ON" position. I poured some gas into the throttle body and got the engine to turn over. I have since yanked and replaced the fuel filter, fuel tank, and fuel pump. Of course it does not start - and fuel pump not activating still. I would love some input.
