|jacob7956||No! We were out of there so quickly we didn't even have time for pictures! My dad just wanted to get out of there before something went wrong. His truck was almost to big to turn around on the trail. He had to back it down with me guiding him until there was enough room to make a 37 point turn! It was more like bringing a chainsaw to a knife fight!! haha|

Very true..forgot about how much it snows up there. I did see when I was there, there were trails around all of the big obsticals, so if you didn't have the necessary eqpt. you could avoid major damage.

A sad attempt at the rubicon....
So we were on a family vacation in Lake Tahoe with our boat staying in a house in south tahoe about a week ago. I realized how close we were to the rubicon trail and was very sad I didn't have my jeep with me
Me and my dad decided if we're this close might as well just go check it out and try it in his truck. He has a Toyota tundra crewmax (one of the big ones) it has about a 3in. spacer lift with bilstein shocks....31is tires..and rims that are not made for rocks...( some XD series black and chrome rims)
Just at the staging area there were jeeps looking and laughing
It was fun just to go see it and know what to expect and to see some really awesome jeeps but he didn't wanna screw his truck up so we backed down after about 2 minutes of it. That is not a trail for that wide of a truck! but i can't wait to go back there with my jeep.
