jjseel Shop around...I'm sure if MOPAR offers it, someone else makes something that compairs favorably in quality and price. The weight of the rack and skis added to your tire carrier is not that much, but, as they said, "not recommended for off road use".

Ski carrier

Okay so I know it is a few months away but I want to start preparing myself for it. I am currently in the market for a ski carrier and so far I have found a spare tire mount ski rack and a rack that goes on my hard top. The roof rack carriers seem to be a bit pricy, so I was going to go with the spare tire carrier. Jeep Wrangler Ski Racks and Carriers

Does anyone know if the extra weight of the skis and my 31” spare tire will be too heavy for my stock tire carrier? I don’t plan on doing any of road trails with the skis on the back besides the crappy parking lots found at the ski lodge.
