thaduke2003 Piece of advice- take the part #'s from C-field, then go to Kitchen Appliances, Cookware, Bakeware, Car electronics, Home Audio, Speakers, Receivers and Home Theater Systems, Compare Prices, customer and user reviews, Features, Accessories, Specifications same stuff, much cheaper. Been dealing with them for 10+ years- never a hiccup, and never beat on a price- Mark W.

stevens243 My fronts (Polks) are. Just not the sound bar speakers for the same reason that AZ mentioned.

Polks are:
* Dynamic Balance polymer/mica composite woofer with butyl rubber surround
* 3/4" liquid-cooled silk/polymer composite dome tweeter
* certified for marine use

Good tip! Thanks Master Oogway

AzTJ Unless you plan on sinking your rig or going through some huge puddles, I wouldn't worry too much about the speakers in the sound bar. I left the roof off during a storm and they still worked just fine.

Ayo and those are all water proof?

AzTJ Should have went with 6.5's in the sound bar... and for the same price, I would upgrade to them. Kenwood KFC-1682ie 6-1/2" 3-way car speakers Also fit 6-3/4" openings at Crutchfield.com

For being cheap Pioneer's, mine sound amazing and completely over take the dash speakers. I bought some cheapy Kenwood 4x6's for the dash because the stockers were blown, but will be replacing them with the Polks you linked, been looking at those for some time now.

stevens243 Those fronts will fit the bill!

Levinoss Thanks, I have been looking for quality marine rated speakers that won't break the bank.

stevens243 Sure.

Stereo: JVC KD-HDR50 CD receiver at Crutchfield.com

Front speakers: Crutchfield.com - 107DB461P

Sound bar speakers: Crutchfield.com - 113KFC1382

I paid 300 and small change a few months ago. Couldn't be happier.

Levinoss Got a link?

stevens243 I can gladly report that those speakers (along with my JVC head unit pushing them) sound WONDERFUL!

4 new speakers and a new stereo were a huge upgrade. I had a alpine POS (cheap version, not anything "alpine" related) and stock speakers before. Distorted the highs to the point I couldn't really listen to music with the top off on the hwy.

Now? Sooooo much better! I would re-spend that $$$ on those exact speakers again!

Ayo how do they sound?
09-13-2009 11:30 AM
stevens243 I have a set of marine grade 6x9's in the front. Work great. Don't have to worry about getting them wet when I'm doorless/topless. I didn't pay much more that a few bucks for the "marine" grade either.

Didn't do the roundies in the soundbar as I don't expect they'll get wet where they are.

I got Polk's for the front from crutchfield. I believe they were 69 bux. BIG improvement over stock!

Marine speakers? Help with advice!

I'm looking around for prices on everything i want done with my wrangler. When it came to the sound system I wanted to get Marine speakers. I thought it would be great cause there waterproof and it would make cleaning and off roading alot easier cause then i didn't need to worry about getting anything wet. Does anyone have or know anyone that has marine speaker? I basically want to know are they worth the money. Also, what brand names to you guys prefer and did you hear anything bad about them? Thank guys.
