Are there some insane hidden rebates we don't know about on the 09's?

yea i love when you get post about how much someone pays for their vehical. it always starts out with someone saying i got a so and so deal and then someone has to jump in and say oo i got mine for this much less and then somebody else has to jump in and say oo my deal was so much better i got mine for this much less and so it goes till someone got theirs for free

nickbiers The 2009 has $1000 customer cash, $1000 if you own a Dodge Jeep or Chrysler
product which you don't have to trade.

The 2010 is $1500 if you own a Jeep Dodge or Chrysler.

nickbiers I think people exaggerate a lot. Unless it has a ton of miles or had been crashed there is no way you are going to get a 2009 rubicon for 23400. That is less than the entry model with no options what so ever. The 2009 does have more rebates than the 2010 right now. But not nearly ten grand worth. I'm going to have to call Bullsh*t.

That's closer to what I paid for mine. My 4dr Rubi stickered at $33,100 and I paid $23,400 for it.

Congrats.

nickbiers yea, i hear ya. I think it will be taking it pretty easy for a while. Let the bank account catch its breath and then think about gettin' crazy. I could go for some scenic trails for now.

silvrevo Gano, are you in the usa? My zx-14 I got last yr new only has a one yr. warrenty?

Never heard about 2yr let alone 5. Not with a new stock bike,, no added moneis for extra years anyways.

Your simply crazy if you bock at having a lifetime power train warrenty. Sure if you mod it,, stock,, they pay. Do you not have a backbone?

Nick,,, I think places like that are what we have to pick from ,, private land. Still the idea of riding 2-3 hours to beat your DD,, then expect it to make it back... yaaaaaa

Enjoy your new ride.

nickbiers Apparently they have JOCCI here in iowa, Jeep owners club of central iowa. They have some private land about an hour south of des moines. They call it "the farm." They have pictures of their runs on their website. It looks pretty awesome. And I actually saw a pretty bad ass jeep at the stealership when I was ordering mine that had the JOCCI emblem on it. Just might have to check into that. They seem to have a lot of events.

Just sucks other s can pretty much go out in thoer backyard and 4 wheel. O well.
I'm in the process of joining a local jeep 4 wheeling club. I went out on my initial run with them up in New Hampshire, a three mile drive from Western MA. I spent 6 hours with them on the trail. Was super impressed with the club. My main reason for mentioning this is that they went places that I would never have known about and they did it together. One gets stuck they all stop until the problem is solved. Nobody got left behind. We maintained communications with CB sets. Look into clubs in your area. You may be surprised at how much may be local in the way of four wheeling.

Just a thought.

I guess they were trying to sell the lifetime warrenty 2009 for a grand more. Might be worth it.. tuff call.

It would have been a tuff choice for me. I like the idea of a lifetime warrenty.

I think its more of a liabilty issue here. All the sue happy people really put a wrench in good guys plans.
the idea of a lifetime warranty is a great thing, but just because something breaks does not automatically mean that they are going to cover it. a warranty protects you from "defects in workmanship and materials." you are at the mercy of the manufacturer (in this case jeep) to decide whether or not something is covered. i run into this problem with kawasaki engines at work from time to time. kawasaki is now giving their engines a 5 year warranty instead of a 2 year, which is great, but i find that it is harder to get things covered.

nickbiers Just put the deposit down on the 2010, let the party begin.

Blackbeard1718 Looking at the vehicles in your Signature:

2000 Cherokee Sport
1999 Wrangler Sport
1994 Wrangler

I was wondering if each one was replaced by the one above it. If so, it looks like you hang on to cars for a few years, then Trade-Up. If this is the case, then the 2010 would be a better option for you. WHY? Because you get the 5 Year Transferable Warranty, and the Lifetime Power Train Warranty on the 2009 isn't Transferable. Additionally, take that extra $1K, and go crazy with a few mods you might have in mind, like Wheels & Tires, or a Lift Kit.

Now, if you plan on keeping the new Jeep for more than 5 Years, the Lifetime Power Train Warranty would be beneficial to you, therefore, go with the 2009.

Tough Decision!

Best of Luck & Please let us know what you decide to do!

Cheers!

Should I get a 2009 or 2010?

I'm stuck right now. I have two different dealers one offering me a 2009 and one offering me a 2010. The 2010 is actually 1000 dollars cheaper than the 2009. I know that the 2009 has the lifetime warrany, and 2010 does not. What would you guys do? Both are the exact same, black sahara with hard top and tow package.
