|Jkwap91||thanks for the replies guys. ok well I take the no spark problem back, I am getting a spark and fuel to the carb but it still will not fire up it just cranks. Now what? I did adjust the timing at the time when it was running the other night but it was adjusted to idle just fine. Could messing with this be a problem?|

Autozone has a tester in their stores for ignition modules. After I did the "Nutter Bypass" my module failed, intermittently. The tester found the fault. I'm affraid the price on those modules has gone up in the last two months, for some reason.
Good luck, Fred

|Fweaky||Chances are you have a loose connection /splice. Make sure your wires are clear of the exhaust.|

|kik||Check to see if you're getting spark from the coil. If the coil is good might have a bad Ignition Control Module.|

Nutter Bypass, now no spark
So I did the nutter bypass yesterday on my 89 wrangler with the carter carb. I had everything set up great and drove it home from my friends house about 10 miles away, but I went out today to start it up and now I cant get it to spark. I checked all of my connections and they are all intact. I just dont know what it could be because it drove home fine. Is there anything else that I could check?
