SandDevil93 I know there is something up in our house. Especially when my husband is updating his own ebay and paypal account (we usually only use mine)!! Woo hoo! I have a feeling a new stereo system is going to be delivered by Santa.

WranglerX2009 Very nice.
I came home early Tuesday and what was on my porch? A nice large box that says Rugged Ridge all over it. My wife was a little bummed that I saw it as it was a Christmas gift, but I'm psyched.

Actually, quite awesome! The new Head Unit seems to have cleaned up some of the distortion, that I had been hearing. I thought what I was listening to was normal, assuming it was the combination of Soft Top and Traffic around me, but apparently not. Everything is so clear and crisp now, and the Bass has a more solid OOOMMMPPPHHH, rather than the bit of vibration feedback I was getting. I guess the Stock Head Unit wasn't as good as I had first thought it was.

Cheers!

Christmas Came A Little Early!

My wife and I were out Christmas Shopping today, and she said she wanted to stop by Best Buy, next door to Target. I figured she was browsing, so I headed off to look over some DVD's and CD's.

She came back a few minutes later, and asked me to take a look at something, and see if it was a good buy. We walked over to the Car Audio, and she was looking at a Sony CDX-GT540UI Head Unit on Sale. I looked over the info and specs, and told her it'd be GREAT for her iPod, since it has both an Aux Cable hookup, as well as a USB hookup, both in the front of the display.

She asked if it was good enough, that would I put one in my Jeep, and I said, "Hell yeah!" So... she told me to get it for ME!!! What a Gal! Here I am, wondering why she wanted to get rid of her 6-CD, 9-Speaker with Sub sound system in her Suzuki SX4 Crossover, and she's shopping for me! She said she and our daughter had gone in together for it. Great Gals!

So, while the Audio Installer spent an hour doing the install, we sucked down a couple of Carmel Spiced Ciders at Starbuck's in Target next door.

I never intended to switch out my Stock Head Unit, but when it's given as a Gift... you NEVER turn down a FREE Mod Upgrade on a Jeep!

Cheers!
