you can run 6.5s instead of 5 1/4's. They will sound a lot better and all you would have to do is make holes for the screws. other than that they WILL fit in the soundbar.

blkrubi88 I'm in the process of installing 5.25 kickers in the front and 6.5 kickers in the sound bar!
I have a small amp that I'm going to install as well!

mrcarcrazy Watch Ebay. I bought JL's for my other car at a great price. and they are even real JL's.

I'm a huge fan of crutchfield for audio equipment as well.

Frat36 When I bought mine there was a special, buy one get one half off. Also I think they were cheeper when I bought them back in June, didn't think I spent that much. These are the ones that I bought.

Infinity Reference 6432cf 4"x6" 2-way car speakers at Crutchfield.com
Infinity Reference 5032cf 5-1/4" 2-way speakers at Crutchfield.com

Mr. WOT I saw the Kicker replacements in Quadratec, not sure how they sound tho. Anyone bought those by chance? Sorry for kinda jacking the thread but it's still kinda on point.

mudslinger150 now should i be spending $50 or $80 for a set of speakers....

Frat36 I replaced mine with infinitys from crutchfield. They sound great at high volume but could use some more base. I added base blockers to the two behind the dash hoping the cross bar would push enough base to sound some what decent but I guess not. Might add a small sub but not sure where I would put it. I am not really sure what type of deck you have but typically factory ones don't push out enough power to support the speakers. You might want to look into up grading the whole system. There are some great post on here that will show you how.

Ideal Speaker setup (sound bar and dash)

Looking for the ideal speaker setup for my 98 tj. I have a sound bar and the speakers in the dash. What can i replace the stock speakers with in those locations to get some awsome sound... Dash (4x6") Sound Bar (5.25") i would like quality speakers that will not sound distored.

Also should i buy a CD player, or can i run my CD/Cassette stock stereo (its the nice one)

Also I should probably mount a 200 or so Watt amp to help push my new speakers too eh. Will an amp hook up to my stock stereo?

note that my sound bar isn't a solid bar all the way accross the top, its more like a pod in one corner and a pod in the other.
